Who’s buying Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings?

I’m buying a Nintendo DS for this game and I’m getting the game the day it comes out, November 20th, at midnite! I’ll take the day off to play it. I’m real excited about this game, it’s my most anticipated game of the year. Last year I was anticipating Final Fantasy XII most, and next year I’m anticipating Final Fantasy XIII most.

I was watching the videos from the Japanese official website for FF XII: RW and I found a great one.

Click on downloads to see the trailers, and then click on the one on the bottom right that says E3 right below it. That’s the final trailer released for this game. At the very end of the trailer, Yiazmat shows up~!! He appears and starts threatening the party, who are suddenly faced with having to battle Yiazmat! That’s a great ending to the final trailer! This reminds me of when the final trailer for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children came out and in the final seconds of the final trailer, Sepiroth shows up! Cloud then is faced with a task of having to battle against Sepiroth. That FF XII: RW trailer was great! 🙂

FFXII was an alright game imo, and I admit there’s a lot of ppl out there who either like it or love it. Personally, I found it to be too easy to complete and I couldn’t form a rapport, so to speak, with the characters of FFXII, like I have with earlier FF’s.

I won’t be buying this game, not just for the fact I didn’t like the original FFXII (though, not liking FFXII probably affects my desire to not buy this one), but also I didn’t like the story to FFXII either, and I refuse to buy a game, because it has pretty graphics, voice acting or such. A game has to combine good story, graphics and music for me to want to buy it.

FF XII: RW will be the 2nd real time strategy rpg for Nintendo DS, and possibly the 2nd rts rpg for any handheld ever. Square Enix released the first rts rpg, Heroes of Mana on August 14th already, what do you think of that one?

Well I don’t really like playing RTS games on a handheld, I like to play them on a TV/Computer monitor. Petty I know, still, that’s just me.

My avatar? It’s a partial facial picture of the Wei General Xiahou Dun (or Hsiahou Tun, from the ROTK novel), from Koei’s Dynasty Warrior games.

You can hook up your DS to your tv though can’t you? I’m interested in Dynasty Warriors, tell me more.

I would like to get it, but it really annoys me that Square make all their spin-offs on different platforms to the orginal games. The same applies to the FFVII series too. I’m not going to buy a DS just for the sake of one game, I’m afraid. If it had been on the PS2, I’d probably have bought it.

I was planning on getting it, then I watched some videos of it and wasn’t as interested and didn’t really care to get it, but now I want to get it again.

FFXII’s story really didn’t appeal to me. It felt like the plot was rushed in the first one and now it feels as though SE is trying to ‘put a band-aid’ on it (if you know what I mean) so I’m definitely not getting it. I would probably read a spolier for the storyline to it just to get better closure to FFXII since I was also unsatisfied with the ending.

I’ll be getting it, definitely. For people who didn’t really like Final Fantasy XII, its a shame, but that means one more copy for a person who wants the FFXII:RW game.

I had an unexpected $525 expense plus some other expenses and now I have to delay getting this game! After finishing Final Fantasy XII it’s FF XII: RW for me to beat. After that I will beat Alundra 1 and Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for PSP I believe. There are other games out this Fall that I like, not sure which other ones I’d beat though.

Next Spring I’m most interested in Final Fantasy Tactics A2. I also like Lost Odyssey, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, and Final Fantasy IV.

I’m annoyed, I want to beat this game! FF XII is taking a while to beat. I’m losing interest in beating these final sidequests: Fishing Nebra River, Club(not clan) hunts, completing the bestiary, and Balfonheim port footrace. I will definetely beat Yiazmat and the last level though.

Definitely not since I’ve heard it’s Square Enix’s "intro to RPG’s" game, in other words, a noob game. And since the storyline of FF XII wasn’t all that mind-blowing to say the least, I’ll skip. Plus, I don’t own a DS.

Well, I had too agree with Ceidwad_yr_Arfau, there are too many games such as the kingdom hearts series and crisis core made me very pissed off when i do not have these consoles!

But hell, i’m still gonna get them anyway, one by one, 1st i had to get a psp…next year i guess…gotta wait…*sigh

I may be able to get some extra money and get this game. How much can I get a used Nintendo DS(not the newer Nintendo DS Lite) for? I’d buy the game and the strategy guide. Maybe I can spend $130 on this? I’m working hard to get some extra money possibly and get this game.

Also, in Final Fantasy XII, which I am currently playing, I may skip four final sidequests that I have which take a long time, aren’t too important, and don’t give you great rewards. This will let me finish Final Fantasy XII in time for Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. 😀

I want this game so badly at the moment. my friend said he’d buy it for me when it came out, and that day is today, but he tells me he’s going to wait a few weeks till the game’s price drops down and is below $40…*sob*

I want the game, but I have no money! I need to get a job…*sigh* of course, my way of thinking makes me believe if I have a job that I won’t have time for games if I have a job…my complex thinking…
