How long have you been playing the FF Series?

This recently popped into my mind after remembering when I first started playing the FF series.

So folks… How many years have you been playing FF games? How old were you and which FF game was your first game?

1. I have been playing Final Fantasy for 5 years.
2. I was 11 when I first started playing Final Fantasy
3. My first Final Fantasy was 7.

I think I started playing 4 or 5 years ago.. I was 13 or so back then. My first FF was FF6, the next FF7; which is still my favorite. ^_^

Okay, let’s see:

I was 15 years of age when Final Fantasy 7 became the first FF released in this country, and I joined the bandwagon of people at school to go buy that sucker and play it. That must make it six years, unless my skills in the field of mathematics has become crap in the last 24 hours.

2. How old were you when you started

Yeah, 15.

3. Which FF game was your first FF?

FF7. And it’s my fave as well. Although a few of the older ones come close, it’s still the only one I’ve played to overkill.

5 a 6 years or something o_O My first was FF7 for the pc and then 8 and then I got retro :B
I was 14/15 – 5 � 6 years old back then :B…. in other words. I was still young xD

3.Final Fantasy IV, which was known back then as FFII on the SNES.

I finished them all, except II and III. Finished them multiple times, except I and V. IV and VI were done over 10 times (!!!).

‘Nuff said.

I’ve been playing for well over 7 years now and started with FF7 which I borrowed from the local library. The limit is 2 weeks and I borrowed it about 4 times in a row before I could buy it (hard to find).

I finished every FF multiple times with the exception of FF9 which I never got to play. My record would be for FF7 which I finished 42 times, which also was my very first FF7 and RPG game I ever played.

I’ve been a RPG addict ever since.

I knew about the FF series since the release of FFV in America, or was it FFVI? I cannot recall.

MY very first FF was FFVII, which I managed to get a copy in 1997. So it’s almost been 7 years. I was about 11 going on 12 at time. I read about FFVII in so many magazines, and my brother and I only just got the Playstation brand new. We didn’t have many games back then. Heh, well I’ll be honest and say my brother went to rent it first. I watched him playing it and thought…

"Hey this is kinda cool. When is it my turn??!?!?"

Sadly, he gave it back before I could get a go. But, knowing how much he liked it I bought it for his birthday that year. Nice of me innit? When I finally got a turn, I was hooked.

Five years – I played FF7 for the first time in 1998, after my friend finally talked me into playing ‘the best game he’d ever played’.

I think I told him that from the pack, it looked like the most boring thing ever.

Needless to say i’ve been eating my words since :p

Oh, how old was I? 13, I think… I’m 18 now.

I think it must have been around 1990 or 1991, when I played FFI on the NES for something like five minutes at a game store (in hindsight it was probably an NTSC import, as most official information I’ve since gathered about PAL game releases has listed FFVII as being the first FF to be released in PAL territories- excluding that rubbish FF Mystic Quest of course), and I was 11 or 12 at the time.

The first FF I actually played properly was the NTSC version of FFIV for the SNES (the US ‘easy type’ version called ‘FFII’), which my brother and me hired out from a video library that rented out US import titles. That was in 1995, and I was 16. Been playing FF ever since.

I have been playing final fantasy games since 1997/98, so that makes it 5-6 Years, yeah it was closer to 6 years.

2. How old were you when you started
I was 14/15 Years old when i got hooked, had played rpg’s before (like Zelda and Secret of Mana), and it was in 2nd year at high school

3. Which FF game was your first FF?
Final Fanasy VII was my first final fantasy game, and has always been my favourite. It was just the coolest, and i liked its story and characters the best. The other titles i have also played were FF6, FF8 and FF9.

Well, I’ve been playing these games, since the first FF came here in Australia, ages ago, on the old Nintendo Entertainment System. After a ‘breather’ period of about 8 years or so, I started again back in 1997, when Final Fantasy VII came out.

How old were you when you started

In my early teens.

Which FF game was your first FF?

Final Fantasy. No number after it, the first and original Final Fantasy.

I’ve been playing FF since FF7 came out. Yay! I love Vincent!
Anyways….I really can’t remeber how old I was then though….oh well.
Now, I’ve played 7,8,9 and 10 and can’t wait till 11! A few more days! WooooHooooo!!!!!

My First FF Was Mystic Quest On The SNes (the Only Snes FF Released In Pal) But What Really Started It For Me WOuld Be 7… But Mweh Mystic Quest I played In 96 Making me…. hmmm 12… Wow That Was A long Time Ago…

the first ff game in my family was my older brother’s ff1.

i started playing ff3(6) when i was n kindergarten, so i was about 5 (im almost 18 and in the 12th grade now). i didnt get very far though. i would beat the snail at the beginning and then turn it off.

i really got into it when i was in fourth grade and got to the floating continent where i would start my game over yet again.

i have gotten to the end where all that i had to do was venture further into kefka’s tower, but i have never beaten that game 🙂 i dont think that i ever will.

ff3(6) is my fave game of all time, and the first ff game i ever owned (the first game i owned was tom and jerry for nes).
