Live Action FF casting

Okay, we’ve had threads like this a few times before, and they were always lots of fun.

At any rate, if live action movies were being made of FF games, what actors would you like to see playing what roles?

I found Japanese actors who would be perfect for FFX.

Tidus � "takky" ( a popular japanese celebrity who is in the FFX TV commercials )

Yuna � Kyouko Nagasegawa (not sure about last name)

No one person comes to mind but there are plenty of people who would be perfect for Lulu.

Shibasaki Kou would make an awesome Lulu. She’s so pretty.

I’ve got insomnia right now, and I’m bored, so I suppose I’ll do some casting.

Cecil: Maybe Joaquin Phoenix () ? He doesn’t seem the perfect fit, but he’s one of the few people I can imagine as a Paladin and as a Dark Knight.

Celes: Jeri Ryan ()

That’s all that comes to mind at the moment, I’ll try and think up more.

Wow, that Alexis Bledel is pretty freaky lookin’, which would make for a good Terra.

Cyan from FFVI – Adrain Paul, better known as The Highlander, at least he already knows how to use a katana

Best casting I could think of would be Micheal Duncan Clarke (Or Micheal Clarke Duncan, been so long since I’ve seen his name anywhere I forgot which order it went in) as Barret from FF 7.

The guy that played Kingpin in the Daredevil movie, for those who don’t know who he is.

Anyone that thinks anyone else could play that role better would be quite silly. I mean, he’s got the build for it, and a voice to match what I figured Barret would sound like–unless you want him to have an ironically high-pitched voice or something.

He also played in The Green Mile, a move I absolutely love. But indeed he’d make a good Barret.

I know he was in that, too. I just figured more people around here would be apt to recognize the Daredevil role than The Green Mile.

He also did some voice work in the Planet of the Apes remake they did a while back.

I am surprised no one has done the Tidus – Meg Ryan comment yet…

Naphtali, I like your choice for Wakka. But Ken Watanabe’s head has the wrong shape for Auron, I think…

Auron always struck me as someone that could be well played by that guy from Mystic River… Sean something. Anyway, he looks the part of the old guy, and he’s known for the monotone in his acting voice.

As for Tidus… we could just leave him out entirely. I mean, he was a character that didn’t technically exist in the world anyway.

The guy who played Silent Bob would be great for Ward in FF8, also. 😀

Wow! Those are good people! Hmm, am I the only one that thinks the guy that could play Tidus is cute? I couldn’t see the LuLu pic unfortunately. I think the girl who could play Yuna isn’t pretty enough (not that she isn’t pretty, but I think Yuna is just really cute ^_^). I’ll look around for people that could work–including American actors.

I completely agree that Meg Ryan should play Tidus. The right look, the right voice, everything seems right.

They might have some trouble with the semi bare chested part of Tidus’ costume, but I’m sure they can fix that up digitaly.
