Mine would have to be 12’s. I like the big colourful and creative ones such as 10. But I like 8’s too.
Plus, the added use of the logo’s gold colour continuing into the ‘IX’ numeral in the title was perhaps a metaphor for the game – as this was the last FF on the PSX, it was getting back to it’s roots – the end of the ‘golden age’ of the FF series so to speak. But at least, that’s what I thought anyway..
Incidentally, all the logos for the FF games (with the exception of FF Tactics and FF Tactics Advance) were produced by legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano, and normally symbolise a particualr element or theme to each game:
FFI: A generic warrior (presumedly one of the Light Warriors)
FFII: Emperor Paramekia (NOT Princess Hilda as has been claimed)
FFIII: No logo – the original Famicom version just had the title written in fancy writing.
FFIV: Kain the Dragoon
FFV: Renia’s Hiryu (the Flying Dragon)
FFVI: Terra in Magitek Armour
FFVII: the Meteor
FFVIII: Squall and Rinoa embracing
FFIX: The Crystal of Life
FFX: Yuna performing a Sending
FFXI Online: A group of Adventurers on the battlefield (representing each of the five races in the game)
FFXII: Unknown exactly (from what I’ve seen it appears to be a Judge, but I’m not 100% sure of that)
FFX-2: Paine, Rikku and Yuna
FF Tactics: A group of soldiers on the battlefield, representing various Jobs
FF Tactics Advance: A Judge
FF Crystal Chronicles: The Myrrh Tree

The original FFIII had a crystal logo, while the logo for the 3D DS version will be the one above, showing a man that could probably be one of the onion brothers (the heroes). He was also shown on the original FFIII OST cover art. And wasn’t the FFIV logo supposed to be Cecil as a paladin? I’m not quite sure about it though.

Yeah but those logos are all…you know…meh. I’m talking main logos, not spin-offs for ff7 and other random ones. But I guess perhaps you could cast a vote for them in other.
Also you mean this one?
And WTF?

Yeah, that’s the old FFIII logo I was talking about. And from all those random logos, at least FF Tactics deserves to be there, since it happens to be one of the best in the series. Also, the FFVII spin-offs are also apart of the main series, just like how FFX-2 is apart of the main series.
And WTF?
That’s not a fan logo but the official logo for the US version of FFVI, which was titled FFIII there.
The picture on your avatar (and the new FFIII logo) was used for the FFIII "Eternal Legend of the Wind" remix soundtrack album, which had some very nice remixed tracks on it (but I still prefer the original "Eternal Wind" world map music).
