Favorite Dialouge in a videogame

Its easy to look past dialouge sometimes, but my question to you is what game had your favorite dialouge in it?

Mine…not sure. If I had to pick least favorite though I’d pick Soul Calibur 2 just because of the destined battle between Taki and Mitsurugi consists of "I’ve had enough of you" from Mitsurugi and Taki asking "Haven’t you had enough."

I think I’d probably give it to Xenosaga for favorite though.

In Radical Dreamers, when you find the Masamune. It’s just too cute. 🙂 And sad. 🙁 And funny! 😀

It’s dialogue.
And I’ve always liked the bit of FF7 dialogue just after cloud comes out of his coma-no-speak thing.

And the entirety of Sons of Liberty, that game is fantastic.

Any dialogue with Kain in any of the Legacy of Kain games for the PS2, it’s just cool as hell.

< Moebius> Is that your answer to everything, Kain? Death?

< Kain> It’s not a subject of debate Moebius. You see, you have nothing which is of use to me.

< Elder God> (insert long and drawn-out threat at Kain about how he’ll be waiting for him when Kain finally dies).

< Kain> In the meantime, you’d better burrow deep!

The PC version has slightly different dialogues I guess. I just finished the game again (7th time lol) and they were saying this:

< Kain > And now it’s time..

< Moebius > ..To kill me… -again-, your only solution for every problem, -kill-

< Kain > This is not a debate, you see this time you have nothing I want.

Most of the dialogues are great and I should put them up here :p the ending dialogue is the same however.

i believe it’s when you’re walking around the back end of Lindblum, and you speak to this old man a few times and he says, "Oh yea i remember now! i have to go take a crap!"

hahaahaah best line in any video game ever

Definetely the Dynasty Warriors games, in particular 3 & 4. My favourite would have to be in DW3, during the first battle (The Yellow Turban Rebellion), when Zhang Bao casts a spell which throws boulders at the Imperial forces, he rubs his hands together and screams "You flaming idiots!!! Take this!" rather off-key. It’s meant to be serious but ends up so cheesily done it’s hilarious! Most of the dialogue in the DW games is like that..

Some of my other favourite, hilarious, quotes from the DW games:

"That’s it!! I’ll be all dried out before noon!" Zhang Fei, compaling about the humidity of the Nan Zhong jungle (DW3).

"DON’T YOU DARE DISTURB MY MEAL!!! Or would you perfer it if I ate YOU??!!!!!" Nanman King Meng Huo, when a soldier interupts his dinner with news of an invasion (DW3).

"Hard to say. Well, I suppose he’s not jumpin’ with joy." Pang Tong, after being asked by Zhou Yun what he thinks Lui Bei feels about the extent of the Yellow Turban Rebellion. (DW4)

"Hah!! Those Wu punks!! I’ll make sure they never see the sun rise again!!" Zhang Fei, after beng ambushed with Guan Yu by a party of Wu soldiers. (DW4)

"Now THERE’S the courageous man that I married. DON’T MESS IT UP!!!" Nanman queen Zhu Rong, chewing out her husband for his constant captures by the Shu Forces. (DW4)

"Behind every trick there’s always some gimmick." Wu leader Sun Jian, after encountering the Yellow Turban’s sorcery. (DW4)

There are much more, but I can’t remmember them of the top of my head right now….

Ahhh, Dynasty Warriors. So many lovely memories. So many kills. I LOVE THIS GAME SERIES, YES?

Lu Bu – "I fight for myself, and only for myself!"

Xiahou Dun – "Come if you want to die!". "I am Xiahou Dun. Come, fight me."

Zhang Liao – "A duel? Very well then."

Zhen Ji – "I shall play a requeim for you.", "Mind your manners, your beast!"

Wei Yan – "Kill!", "You… Die!"

Ma Chao – "I am the sword of justice!"

Guan Yu – "I am Guan Yu, stand and fight!"

Pang Tong – "How about a little tussle?"

There are many others, but I won’t list them here. I would use some quotes from other games, but I’m a huge DW fan. Therefore, all of my quotes come from them.
