That was part unfamiliarity, but it still sucks.
GC and PS2 pretty much draw, I like the GC one slightly more.
The X-Box pad is too big, it’s shit. I remember playing SCII on it, once. There was a time delay between my decision to press a button and my thumb actually reaching said button.

Hrmm.
If you’re talking about the controller S, you must be some sort of leprechaun. POT O’ GOLD.
I’ve always said the PS2 one wasn’t that nice, the gamecube one is great, but I love controller S. Chunky, firm, solid.
Xbox – Original Controller
The biggest design flaw in Microsoft’s plan – apart from the freaking huge Xbox itself. The ONLY game that it feels better for than the Controller S is Halo. And i’m sure that will change come Halo 2.
Xbox – Controller S
A smaller original controller – button positioning of the Back and Start buttons are a pain in the ass, but at least White and Black are more accessible. Way more comfortable.
PS2 – Dual Shock 2
The Dual Shock we all know and love, but with analog buttons – that never get used, as far as I can tell. A good controller – slightly more uncomfortable than the Controller S and the GameCube controller.
GC – Controller
The most ergonomically desiged controller out there – it melts into your hand. The analog stick is in perfect positioning (no sore thumb like the 64 controller), the Camera stick is brilliant, and button layout is perfect for beginners and the experienced alike.
So, the GameCube controller is my choice of the three for overall ergonomics – but I believe certain games need certain controllers. For instance, my room-mate got the Spider-Man 2 pack for the Xbox including the controller – and I swear, that controller is the best for playing Spider-Man 2, but crap for everything else.
It doesn’t work very well for fighting games but that’s pretty much the one exception.
I really love the PS2 controller, especially when it comes to fighting games. It feels very right in my hands, and it seems like all the buttons are perfectly placed.
I loathed "The Battarang", as it is affectionately known, but the S controller is quite nice. I really couldn’t imagine a better controller for a FPS, and it works well with a lot of games that were originally for the PC, like Morrowind.
My least favorite controller of all time is probably the N64’s.
SNES was to flat. but Snes kicks ass so it doesn’t matter
The ps2 controller is just a tiny bit too small, gamecube controls are just crap tbh.
