*puts on bullet proof armor grabs C7A1 and starts seting up sandbags around house*
now think about what you said boy!
They just made Halo2 way too easy.
thats about the only memorabel moment i had in the halo universe
the flood is the most retarded thing ever and almost all of the charakterdesings are average
same goes for leveldesing
the controls are the only thing it deserves any praise on
yea, wouldn’t want players with more skill to win. that wouldn’t make any sense at all. let’s just go ahead and make the game 50% luck so the shitty players can win anyway. yea, that’ll make a great game.
Too bad your enthusiasm doesn’t show on the playing field!
just because you’re better at than me =(
i enjoy it, i just enjoy betraying almost as much as killing the enemy
P.S Wait for Halo3 and see:)

your nuts (and your location should be athens greece not greece athens)
it’s not tactical? have you ever played on live ?_? (NOT RUMBLE PIT THX)
kinda silly to bitch about qualities of a game that’re obviously the way they are because of the genre they’re in ;-;;
i guess nobody ever heard of doom, duke nukem, unreal tournament, team fortress classic, day of defeat, deathmatch classic, fire arms, quake and a million other deathmatch fps’s. :p
but the king of deathmathing though has got to be ut i think. if not q3. i’m a hl fan though. so i stick with tfc.
anyway. to be honest, the only reason i think it was mega popular is because its the first time all the new generation gamers (you know..babies) got to play online against other "h.u.m.a.n.s". see, it was their first time. and to them, it was just…mind blowing. lets let them have their fun. next thing you know, you’ll be hearing how awesome "suckmydick 2" is because of its online play.
so lets all stfu and bow down to half life. damn noobs. fuck halo. i don’t give a shit about the new generation of gamers. your all spoiled bastards. fucking 6-15 year olds.
i was playing online when you were learning how to play pokemon.
(ps. i do not in anyway dare to make fun of pokemon. for i love the franchise. i’m just using it as an example and we should all worship pokemon as well. thank you)
What?
Halo’s controls are atrocious. It doesn’t help that it has to use the equally terrible X-BOX controller, but that’s my main beef with Halo (and 2)… it’s nearly impossible to play.
wasd + mouse please
I did enjoy teamkilling with the flamethrower in PC Halo, though.

I think people like them in the sense that they work well for a system that doesn’t have the standard PC FPS controls. I’d prefer a mouse and keyboard but using the gamepad isn’t complicated.
All in all, Xbox controller is grood for FPS.

it’s more tactical than quake ^o^
ps xbox controller ftw
Next to that, Halo is a simple fragfest.
No, I meant something like if you play someone a little better than you, than once they get their hands on a Sniper Rifle and a Rocket Launcher, you’re a gonner. Or vise versa. Once you have the good weapons, it’s just like a massacre since the other person has access to all of the vehicles and guns since they have the superior firepower. Once you start losing in a game of Halo 2, there is very little chance of turning it around. In Halo you could always turn it around.
That’s because everyone starts off with the most powerful weapon in the game… a fucking pistol that kills you in 3 headshots.
I’ve seen many Halo 2 games where the tides have turned, it is just a matter of planning and taking advantage of every situation.
you’re a shitty player for letting him get all that, and yes, he is still beatable. also that is a terrible level for 1v1.
Pistol ownz all. Halo 2 is spray and pray combat while Halo requires skill. Yes even the Pistol requires skill to get 3 sucessful headshots while aiming at moving targets since the original Halo didn’t have a 5ft auto-targeting system.
It’s a wise move, really it is…
I think Halo did evolve the fps somewhat, open lanscapeds that flowed, the unique armor system, and the feel of gunning down the small, yappy covenant was second to none.
However, i thought the on-rails Library mission was a little on the weak side.
But overall – a joy to play
PC games had been doing wide, open landscapes since the late 1990s. And what did you find unique about the armor system?

probably that it refilled itself and he dind’t die trying to find an armor recharge on his own like the rest of us do in every other fps out there.
wimps. go find your own armor. instead of ducking behind a box waiting for it to recharge. :p
i probbly like the story more than the game though.
Raidenex, please tell me you’re picking up UT3 for PS3 too. I’m having a blast with it.
Just doing my duty sir. It’s good to see some people are as enthusiastic as I am. I simply wanted to make an addition to something, if you don’t like it, that’s fine with me. I don’t really care what you think about my posting choices one way or another so, you can insult me all you like.
Anyway, now to my explaination:
Marathon was released by Bungie in the 90’s which I’m sure those of you who care already know. Halo essentially follows its plot, with name changes and locale differences. And there are no three-eyed purple-armored aliens with staffs this time around.
Good Story
Generic Gameplay
Ugly Ending
Nuff Said
goes off playing 40k
Its like… "oh god! look, they are killing aliens, cool!". Mostly people who plays halo are people who just like to shoot, shoot, shoot.
Halo have non artistic detail (music, graphics, design, concept) and the history is awful as hell, and for not mention the BOOORING action on game.
So, people who say "Halo is the best game ever created" are people who
1.- Never have played a real game (i dont care what kind)
2.- People who are not able to take a break for listen the music in game, look to the 3D models or see the amazing textures.
3.- People who simply are not able to move with 1 hand a aim with other (keyboard + mouse)

Hahahahahahahaha
Goldeneye for N64 is NOT like the Halo series is. Goldeneye actually did something different in its multiplayer modes while also giving up a very, very solid single player experience.
Halo has always put single player last in priorities. None of the games have really done anything new with anything in multiplayer and they’re only successful now because of one thing:
When Halo came out on the Xbox, it was the prettiest shooter out there.
That said, I’m gonna go play Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six. At least they don’t feel so half-assed.
