Though I’ve noticed this in small doses around launch time for new consoles; I’m starting to notice it more and more now as a plague amongst video game resellers. I’m referring to this notion of trading in games for new gaming machines. They seem desperate to rob your games from you and sell them off again. Cheaper?? Not at all… at next-to-retail prices.
Trade in 25 PS2 games to bring down the price of a PS3. Trade in 85 games and take home a new PS3 for abolutely nothing. Trade in your old X-Box and 15 games to bring the price of an X-Box 360 down. Trade in PS2/X-Box games to take home a Nintendo DS for free or at a reduced price. Its everywhere.
I’m not saying such ideas are silly, but what i’m curious about is does anyone actually take up these offers? And; will such deals become scrapped if Sony outlaws the reselling of purchased games? Well, undoubtedly so… for Sony products anyway. Thoughts??
go buy like cheap 1 dollar games and trade those in. if theres only one game that’s cheap, get 85 copies of that ONE game. they should still trade you. and that would just fking rule. lol
It`s funny because i never trader in games. Period.
I keep every game i ever bought. I have a massive load of PSone games from the days of old that are still in my room. The same goes for the Xbox and PS2. You get shitty deals anyway so i just steer clear from selling any games.
Pretty much.
The local EB Games promo along these lines clearly states that none of the games can be sports games and that they must be in near-mint condition.
Also: It is a fucking rip off, they are only giving you between $5-8 per game (they do this anyway, but) if you were getting a fair market value for the games you’d only need to trade in six.
It is ridiculous.
