I would never live in any RPG game with random battles, I mean how horrible would that be. One day walking to school, everything would turn pitchblack and suddenly I would hear the bass playing AAAAAAGG x4. After 10sec or so, a stupid little lizard with a cape would appear in front of me looking kinda cute and innocent, albeit having some sort of toy knife in his hands. I’d have no choice but to just sit on my ass while he/she/it walks slower than my grandma with half a leg towards me. Oh wait, that’s right, I actually have to be in a fighting stance and move to a rhythm looking stupid as hell. Eventually the cute little lizard is right in front of me, and pokes me with his toy knife. Apparently I drop flat on the ground and my life flashes before my eyes. Or not…

It might even be fun. Dodging monsters… Hiding pipes and alien zappers… Showing up to give creepy clues and warnings to the new guy… And you are virtually assured job security if you don’t mind plumbing and speedy corpse reclamation.
It would also be really cool to live in Half-Life. Gordon Freeman is one of my favorite video game characters ever.
Starcraft would be really cool too. Although I would have to choose who to side with considering the three races almost never co-operate.
Ratchet and Clank would be just plain awesome. I love those guys. They travel from planet to planet every other hour.

You also forget that everyone would be speaking in text bubbles; there would be no voices. On top of that, the very limited graphics makes it difficult to tell facial expressions. Not the greatest.
Call me unoriginal, but I would want to live in Cyrodil above all other places. I think I could settle down at one of the mansions and live the rest of my life there in wealth. The only downside is the random wolves, bears, and muggers on the roads, but those would be relatively easily disposed of.

A BIT OF GOLD! Its like 1000 gold a stab! Sit atop a mountain of legions though and your either cheating (with tgm) or are so powerful you don’t need to worry about the guards fining you
You do realise, after the Great Galactic War (around 300 years after the original KotOR game) the Sith Empire (aka the True Sith) bombed all of the surface cities and forced the Selkath back to their underwater homes.
So unless you could breathe underwater, and didn’t mind looking like a human sized prune, sure be a nice place to live…. NOT!!
I also wouldn’t mind living in Ferelden, maybe have a few elf maidens as ‘servents’ if you know what I mean heh heh heh.
Or, maybe on the Citadel or somewhere where the Quarian flotilla is near. What can I say, I like Tali Zorah vas Normandy.

The worlds of Skies of Arcadia, Fire Emblem (any), Wild ARMs, Lunar and Legend of Heroes VI: Sora no Kiseki would be up there along with Megaten ^_^
For a more survival horror aspect, I’d be comfy in Resident Evil before 4 and 5. Dealing with regular zombies and B.O.W.s from Umbrella are more my style than anything like Las Plagas. They would KILL me, hands down, especially if I had to deal with chainsaws x.x That’s not to say Umbrella’s experiments are any better…^_^;
2# The Dark Eye Series – Almost unknown in the US (as Realms of Arkania and Drakensang) it’s a damn big franchise in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
3# Silent Hill Series (the real one until "the room"; Everything after that is not the original stuff imho)
