Yes
PC
$20.00
Starcraft, (:p) and a connection of 27000 or higher.
Moving it there now.
It does take a lot of work (at least it did in my case) to set up the Xbox so that you can play online, though =/. I don’t know shit about networking and computers, but I’ll tell you what I did.
First you need to get an Xbox Live startup kit for $50 which includes a year of Xbox Live service and a headset microphone thingy. Next you have to somehow connect it to a broadband modem (so you gotta have a cable or DSL connection). What I did was connect a wireless router (like $120 at Best Buy) to the cable modem connected to the family computer, which sent the cable signal to a wireless ethernet bridge (like $100 at Best Buy) that I connected to my Xbox.
I make it sound more complicated than it is, but if you have a broadband connection and like $300 (yeah, it’s really expensive =/) then you can do it. There may be cheaper ways, so I’d recommend searching around for how to find the cheapest way to get networked.
-Magic System
Much like materia, except you put "runes" into your wand or staff, or some swords, and you can activate them at different times. Different combinations of active runes give you different spells, ie rune of distance + rune of harm = lightning strike, while rune of distance + rune of body = heal… or whatever.
-Experience System
In this game, you gain experience for everything you do. Cooking, smithing, building, killing, you name it, it levels you up.
-Trade Skills
There are a multitude of trade skills that all work together to form a fine economic balance. Lumberjack’s get wood, craftsmen build houses, hunters hunt and skin animals, leathercrafters make armor, blah blah blah.
It says you need 56k modem, but it isnt true. there isnt much lag or anything like that, and I am on wireless, but my connection is shit, probably around 40k. An all-around solid game.
Been out for years
On the PC, also have a PS version set 500 years in the past of Norrath (the EQ world)
Price depends on how many of the expansions you want to get. There are several different parts. Everquest original, Ruins of Kunark, Scars of Velious, Shadows of Luclin, Planes of Power, and Legacy of Ykesha. There is also a $12 a month fee
PC, modem, account are all needed. You can either use a game card (40 bucks), or a credit card to pay. the game card lasts for 90 days.
The game is awesome. Its got many races, and more coming with the different expansions. Lots of different classes, each with their benefits. You can either solo, or group with other players. You can even join guilds. It has its own magic system, along with a total of 65 character levels. Unfortunately, you cant multiclass, so what you pick at first your stuck with for that character. However, you can have up to 8 characters per server, and there are dozens of servers. It is whats known as a massively multiplayer online role playing game, or MMORPG.
free game , where you build up a part based on FF1 sprites and battle against other parties over the net:cool:
