What pisses you off most about FF Unlimited?

I heard about FF Unlimited from my classmate. Said I should go check it out. I heard it got some pretty bad reviews in Japan though. One thing I was disappointed in was the summon sequences. GunDragon and SwordDragon looked cool enough, but I was horrified to see Ifrit. Instead of this kick-ass flaming bull-like demon, it was a freaking robot-like thing!
Another thing I was disappointed in was the lack of imagination when it comes to the characters. It really bugs me that Kaze is a cheap rip-off of Vincent. He’s definitely not as good-looking lol. And Makenshi reminds me of Cloud. And Lisa reminds me of Tifa! And there are too many kids in the show.

Overall, though, I say the show wasn’t so bad, but it wasn’t so great either. I just wanna know who else has it and what pissed them off most about it.

i don’t like their INCREDIBLY long, thin legs either lol, but Cid was just sooo darling! ^_^

FF Unlimited draws pretty heavily from FFV.

It just doesn’t have that much in common with more recent FF games.

I was disappointed that they went for ‘kiddy show’ instead of ‘large, sweeping epic’ 🙁

Final Fantasy V definately had a light-hearted feel, but it still had the seriousness underlying – FF:U doesn’t have that. The highlight of every show is waiting for Kaze to say "The Magun has thawed."

Even then, I agree – little or no effort was put into the summons. They could have just ripped the character designs straight from ANY of the Final Fantasy games, and it would have been better than the weird things that come from the Magun.

Still, even with all it’s downsides, it’s a fun little romp. And it’s got enough mystery to pull you through the entire thing. I still need to get the final two volumes 🙁

i hated the bullet thingy….kaze would say ‘something blah blah earth brown!!’…how boring…and he did it every show!

The summons where a big let down in my opinion. I was expecting some great and I got a screwed of version of all of them. Their legs were way to skinny and long and they had small necks. The biggest let down, however, was the ending. I remember watching the last episode and when it was just getting good…the credits start to roll. I’m glad that I bought it, but I’m very disappointed.

I’ve only seen the first 4 episodes, you see we have it in DVD here, and the store where i got it had the 1st DVD, then once i had finished watching it, i went back to the store to discover they had the 3rd DVD and not the 2nd. I asked about it, but they said they had recieved the 3rd, but had no comfirmation of getting the second.

And now they have the 4th DVD……….still no sign of the second, i kinda lost interest when i counldn’t get the second DVD, so meh.

I know. They claimed it was the same world, too. And I hate the fact that they made the characters fall in love with puffy cactuars and chocobos.

i like it but they could have gotten better drawers in i dont like that style they have opted for the storys ok but the imagry could have been better i mean come on one of the biggest and most profitable games developers couldnt have gotten better artists.

it isn’t really much like final-fantasy at all. theres not too much action and alot of the episodes suck. i do really like a few of the characters-kaze, makenshi, oscar, the count and the redmagician guy.
the summons are cool when kaze gives his little speech and your trying to guess which summon he’ll use from the 3 bullets(i got so pissed when they started repeating the same ones), but the animations are pretty lame. i watched the whole series, subtitled. the episodes in the sea puzzle were so poor i almost stopped, but the later episodes are worth it.
