The opening and end themes for Lain are both really good, actually. Also I really liked a song called "Psychedelic Farm" from one of the albums.

The end theme to GITS:SAC "Lithium Flower" doesn’t make a damn bit of sense, but I like the guys voice.

Pretty much all of Yoko Kanno’s music for Cowboy Bebop, especially "Blue" (the song that plays at the end of the last episode).

I think the beginning song for FMA was well good, my favourite anime song, although it’s not actually in the anime, its before it starts -_-

Through the Night is reallly good.
But Origa-Inner Universe from Ghost in the Shell is amazing. it gives me goosebumps. hahaha

It depends what mood i’m in, but I really like a lot of the songs from Full Metal Alchemist. I’m not sure of the name either, but it’s the one that plays whenever anything ‘serious’ happens – the slow, sad theme.

I also like Rei I from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I really like the song in Berserk thats in the trailers for it and on the previews for the next episode. Sorry im too lazy to track down the name.

Personally, I’m a pretty big fan of Shiro Sagisu’s work. He’s the guy who did the music for Evangelion and Kare Kano, among others. For vocal tracks, my favorites at the moment are probably the songs Move did for Initial D. I’ll never forgive Tokyopop for snipping those out of their crappy dubbed version.

This changes as new anime comes out. Right now, my fav is:

Meteor – T.M. Revolution from Gundam Seed. "Believe", that song played by "See-saw" and "Invoke" comes close. Seed has so much quality music.

Gamble Ramble – Move from Initial D 3rd Stage is also a long fav as well as the opening theme of the original Dragon Ball (not Z or GT).

I like the theme song at the begining of Rurouni Kenshin,the chinese version.
