Well, the way people ask, they don’t seem to want to find a way to download the OST by themselves, thus, they ask trusty Sarah to do the work and get the OST for them. Whereas before, when you added OSTs just for updating purposes, it seemed much more like ‘advertising.’ Get my point?

The stuff about how visitors are requesting OSTs.

Because it sounds as if you’re acting as a vending machine, shooting out OSTs at the press of a button (in this case, a keyboard). You would have a much better albeit easier case if it were just regular updates without request.

this isn’t the only thread where requests are being taken. I just know that for a lot of requests, particularly those for brand new games, there is no official soundtrack out yet. and games that never had a soundtrack release to begin with. for example: Pokemon Stadium, Trauma Center DS, Tekken 5, etc.

Well i actually looked very hard for the Kirite album mate, I could not find it. I really want to hear it so I figured Sarah would be the best person to ask about it. And when the album is uploaded and i like what i hear, I am going to be investing in it.

Here’s a tip for searches in the future: if you’re going to download from somewhere else, always check #gamemp3s first. They happen to have KiRite, though you have to go on to mIRC to receive it. It’s not such a big deal, and you can find almost every album there. On the alternative, you could have asked me, I have the album, and I could hook you up with samples. Unfortunately, not everybody buys the album when they hear it, you just happen to be one of the good ones 😉

No. Unless there is some sort of demanding notice or links (which aren’t put up yet) providing that you support the legal cause (in this case, purchasing of VGM), it doesn’t seem like Shareware. But, if you do put links on the site, the whole ‘mission’ would confused, because you’re telling us to buy the VGM, when your ‘mission’ states that you want easier access to the OSTs by raising awareness (in which people said earlier that importing OSTs doesn’t achieve.)

If this guy really did not want people to use it after the trial, he would have made it so it stopped after x amount of days, like I said. It’s just a way to make money. Hey sorry if I read your post wrong but if you’re asking for this site to host SE game soundtracks like the Final Fantasy series I don’t think you’re really getting it. AFAIK Square issued a cease and desist (or some such thing) telling GH to stop hosting their music (sorry if im wrong on this, been awhile since i’ve checked it out). It is *not* hard to get ahold of Squares soundtracks for most of their stuff, try bluelaguna, try GFF, try IRC channels and FTPs and you’ll find them almost everywhere.

Why run the risk of the site getting closed and losing the soundtracks that are actually hard to acquire?

thanks for the reply, but i not intend for the S-E games, originaly i wanted the other English r.p.g like tales of legendia or wild arms,

but couldnt find an answer in the Request from anyonen, about S-E games, yes i know why but thats why i said utleast, cause its annfair to lit the Mods do all the entire things in the Hotel to english ost, so atleast the S-E games, but since you reminded me,

i hope some other games can be added.

For some reason, i’ve notised that MP3 has much lower quality then OGG – lol.

Well, I downloaded a track from Galbadia Hotel in MP3 format. Then I compaired it to the same track I allready have directly converted from WAV to OGG. I’m telling ya, I actually hear some extra sounds in the MP3 file from Galbadia Hotel that are not suppost to be in the track by default !.

So I dunno, OGG files are also smaller then MP3 would you believe. I really think everyone should make the switch to OGG (Including those companys that make those portable players and others).

Obviously, I should have clarified in my post that the list isn’t always up-to-date. If Sarah said it’s in the queue, then it’s in the queue. The list only goes so far, as some things that have just been put into the queue may be many, many updates away. She is doing a great job on updating, so if it’s not on the list, it means there’s at least that many updates until your request appears (and probably more that you can’t see on the list).

Can’t find Tamayura or Tsuminagara (long version) in it, and it’s supposed to have two discs.

Will you please quit this annoying attitude? Shut up and be grateful.

Did you really expect Sarah to do that? Assuming she even owns the game. It’s just as easy for you to do it as it is for the people who are actually doing it. I personally don’t have time, but if you request it, you should find somebody who has. In a way, I wish I ripped games, because that’s how I would do it. Most game rips are great, but a small percentage, I have some complaints about. I hate sound effects in the background, too. So you’re right, pausing the game helps. But hey, when you request game rips, you get what you paid for (which was nothing). So if the quality isn’t ‘perfect’ for you, tough luck, I guess.

You can’t upload songs directly to Galbadia Hotel — Sarah’s the one what does that. But if you’d like to share those soundtracks, it’s easy.

1.) ZIP/RAR the soundtrack
2.) Upload the ZIP/RAR to any web-based file-sharing site (Rapidshare is the favorite, but SendSpace is also widely used)
3.) Share the download link you are given on the Download Links page

You may get lucky, however, because I’ve seen shared soundtracks get added to the queue of soundtracks that will eventually go up on the site. 😀

pretty much not, why?

there is 2 missing songs, or should i say , 1 song and 1 music.
its from the original CD’s missing , the song is when you battle Marguiles in michtam and then he dies.

the soundtrack is great, not as great as the 1st game, but its Good.
i just wanted to say for no confusion to happen.

the battle with MARGULES is A HARD ONE if the player wasnt prepared, and the song seems more like an important to be in the sound collection, as in xenogears, where there is actully 2 songs and not the end song only.

i am dissapointed from the original OST thats all.
