There are a lot of video game songs that are quite soothing are are great to listen to if you have a bit of insomnia. Which ones are your favorites or you think are the best? Here’s my list:

Skies of Arcadia has some very beautiful/soothing songs to fall asleep to such as ‘Legend’, ‘Emotional’, etc

I like the tracks from MKDeception’s Konuest mode. Very soothing,almost ambient stuff with a healthy dose of Asian ethnic thrown in. Especially Shujinko’s Village,Earthrealm and Orderrealm themes. Good stuff. =)

Final Fantasy VI – Celes theme

Music that’s nostalgic tends to make me feel relaxed and are the closest thing to putting me to sleep. So almost everything I’ve played on the SNES really, and very good soundtracks for newer games…

A soundtrack that does come to mind to actually wanting to fall asleep to is the Piano Arrangements for Okami. It’s very soothing.

Actually you might think im crazy but Final Fantasy V – Dungeon actually has a relaxing touch to it.

I like to fall asleep to the ending theme of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. I’m a sucker for slow piano songs.
The Rainbow Cloud song from pokemon snap is a good one. (o.O)

The entire soundtracks for Zelda: A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, and the Touhou games: Imperishable Night and Perfect Cherry Blossom.

Most of the music from Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, Rayman 1 and Worms 1 puts me to sleep.

How about Celes’ Theme from FF6.

I think the credits theme of LTTP is especially conducive to relaxation.

I love to fall asleep to some of the mellower songs in Hatsune miku project diva also the underwater themes in various Mario Games most of the World themes in new smb except world 8 of course World 4 & 7 are the best examples of mellow Mario Themes lol I used to fall asleep to the songs on the Mii Channel and forecast channel on the WII it was easy to do. oh how about the WII play title theme and the nintendogs theme?! oh and some of the songs on the PS3’S photo gallery the playstation home mall theme also Mainichi Issyo on PS3 flow and flower, the vocal theme in Zettai Zetsumi Toshi 3 breath of fire underwater, sky blazer DKC aquatic ambience o god i could go on 4ever lmao but i’ll stop here

Thunderforce II, Sword of Vermillion, and Forgotten Worlds, all on Sega Genesis. I used to use these all the time when I was in college. In particular, I think Thunderforce II has really peculiar sound quality, even for Genesis.

Here recently I have been listening to songs like Adieu, Blue, Green Bird, Rain, Black Piano, and several other of the more relaxing songs from Cowboy Bebop.

My personal favorite would be Stickerbrush Symphony (that music from the bramble levels) from DKC2. It’s soothing, invigorating – everything really. I just love it, it’s perfect for any occasion. Dave Wise does not get anywhere near enough love, I think.

Pretty much any theme from Okami is relaxing to me

Although I have finished my Sleep time Pack, I am having difficulty uploading it, so I will need to wait till I move back to america and have my regular internet connection, this one is pissing me off and is slow to upload. But its 1.2 GB as of now (I might add to it). So maybe next month I can upload it. Still this doesn’t stop others from uploading their own songs…

The corresponding level has to be something I have no clue and don’t remember where it came from, or it has to be THE place/level in the game that I enjoyed hanging out in most and where most of my memories where created.

One of my favorite songs to relax to (and I’m a little surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned already on this thread, unless I missed it) is "Godot’s theme: The fragrance of dark coffee" from Phoenix Wright 3. It’s very jazzy and surprisingly relaxing to listen to, considering it’s the theme for a guy who is constantly drinking coffee. I particularly like the version from the "Turnabout Jazz Soul" album".

But, uhm. I don’t fall asleep to this, more I wake up to it. I have ‘Today Arrives, Becoming Tomorrow’ set as my alarm tone. Every god damned morning, I wake up to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO9tUhKgCBM).

The idea was that the normal alarm sound was way too harsh, and waking up to it would sully the start of the day. I thought this was a rather pleasant song to wake up to, so I set it as my alarm, and found it’s waking up that ruins the start of my day. I was too lazy to change my alarm clock back to it’s regular beeping, and have been waking up to this for about two years now.

Despite all that, I still find the song rather nice and pleasant.

sometimes I listen to it to sleep or when I wake up in the morning with my first coffee browsing the interwebs.

Most recently I’ve been listening to the track ‘Are You Coming Home, Mother’ or something along those lines from the World of Goo soundtrack as I go to sleep. I’m not entirely sure why.

For some odd reason I fell asleep to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle’s Final boss battle theme and had it playing for about 5 hrs straight off the game’s Sound test…XD

Most of Chrono Cross soundtrack! some FFIX tracks are also really relaxing! Somehow I love sleeping to Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack and also, weirdly, Silent Hill soundtracks. ICO and Metroid Prime soundtracks are also very soothing. Sorry for not listing any song in particular but if you don’t know those soundtracks yet you REALLY should!

Hmmmm……either Super Mario Bros (any of them) or World – But it can’t be some Haunted House, Cave, Castle or Bowser song. Gotta be something more……you know, light hearted for lack of better term.

Even if I’m a Final Fantasy series fan, I listen to a track of the Okami OST before going to bed. Any track. All of them are relaxing and -above all- perfect. 🙂

I like the Zelda Reorchestrated mixes of Majora’s Mask and Ocarina. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 work well too.
