The thing I find curious is that the .AT3 file is quite tiny, so there’s no chance that the soundtrack is store there (If I’m saying stupid things, forgive me, since I’ve never done this before). But there is a file called rockx_pack.dat which is 390MB big, which I suppose is the one that has all of the game’s data in it. Is there a way to access the contents of that file and rip the music?
Is the person who initially ripped the game in this forum? and if so, can you tell me how you did it?
Thank you!
All you need is to install sony sonicstage in order to use HiMdRendererWin to rip it. It has the missing codec you need.
Also, HiMdRendererWin doesn’t work 100% of the time from what I was told. There’s other programs to rip ATRAC, but I think you have to mod your PSP to do so.
EDIT: Well, SonicStage can’t play it, any other options?
You could get ATRAC3 Audio Decode Driver (it’s supposed to let you play the AT3 files without ripping/converting them on your WMP) just to be sure, but that doesn’t work for me, so I use HiMdRendererWin and create them into wav format.
As for the modded psp alternative. I can’t honestly help you, because my ass of a friend still has my psp, so for me to even attempt to mod it, and test it out is a no-no.
Or you can try installing ATRAC3 Audio Decode Driver just to be cautious, and then try again.
If I remember correctly, I never asked sonicstage to associate with any file. Just installed, and used the ripping program. I did however had installed ATRAC3 Audio Decode Driver before anything. So maybe that did help?
I have the appropriate tools
To acess files in an archive you have to use an extractor, I recommend Nova Extractor.
