I can’t find a list of games that use metal and/or rock
Well, actually there`re some dedicated threads and they`re still available from the sticky thread in this sub-forum

It`s going to be hard task as we do not distinguish between genres as easily as professionals do (for example all the reviewers of KUF – Heroes obviously listened to the same soundtrack but in their reviews music style ranges from death to punk :loldata: or let`s mention Pie`s MUA rip – while he put metal in release details I think that all the tracks which he considered metal are actually classic industrial) so I ask you to forgive my possible mistakes in advance. Let`s see:

Games marked with * didn`t have their music anyhow packed so you can be sure that these are original track names.

The Darkness (2007) by Gustaf Grefberg and Shin Contra (2004) have some tracks with heavy guitars. They aren’t purely "metal", the first is mostly orchestral with some guitars while the latter is on the electronic side, but they are both great OSTs with some pretty heavy tracks!

If we count 16-bit games, there’s Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage (1994) by Green Jelly. It also includes the (in)famous (see the youtube video) SNES version of Sabbath’s Mob Rules as boss music.

Also, the Konami Perfect Selection albums by Naoto Shibata (Dracula Battle 1,2 – Shooting Battle 1,2) although these are not OSTs but arrangements.

It`s very kind of you to include no specifications required in the thread but mention bands of VGM remixers (like Black mages or Crow`s claw)…
And I wouldn`t call TD Offroad twice since the 2nd game just recycles the soundtrack of its predecessor.

Why is this deleted? I’ve been away from the forums for quite some time so I don’t know what might have happened, either to the forums, or to Alpha23… Sorry if me writing this constitutes as a "foul".

Anyway, I thought keeping track of rock/metal-inspired VGMs was a nice idea, so I think I kept an offline copy of the list some time ago. If anyone’s still interested, PM. I would re-post it but I don’t have the files with me now.
