But anyway, I think I hate any Emorock band (Rofl, Ignorant) Especially this "Fightstar" band.. Jesus they suck.

I can’t stand the bands that get mainstream exposure when their songs are unoriginal, uncreative, boring, repetitive, etc. This is almost all of the mainstream bands. To get played on the radio or MTV these days you’d better not have more than 2 different parts in your song, or stray from a pop/hip hop feel! This whole "radio rock" thing going on with the ultra whiney singers and retarded pop-punk riffs is hilariously awful as well.

What bothers me even more than that are the no talent people like Ashlee Simpson making it big. On her television show she couldn’t even comprehend how all the instruments in her band had to ‘be in key’ with each other.

I even won’t try top pick any of the mtv-style bands, they scare the hell outta me… As goes for other ones:

Hammerfall, Rhapsody (probably the most lame power metal bands ever, sheer dumbness and no musical skills at all)
Cradle of Filth (black metal combined with gothic music? Thank you very much and have a nice day <go to hell>)
Nickelback (it is pretty amazing how much can give one box office topper…)

I also hate a lot of power metal bands, like Rhapsody and Hammerfall (same ones Cass listed). My dad loves that sort of crap though.

I tend to greatly dislike any ‘metal band’ that makes frequent use of the whole swords & sorcery, dragons & goblins, vikings & leather sort of "imagery" in their "lyrics." I like nice, profound, thoughtful lyrics, and that sort of stuff just doesn’t do it for me.

I don’t think that really matters. If someone told me that if a band I hated dissapeared, much less music that is out now would be influenced by them, I would think about the awesome possibilities of a modern era where everyone wasn’t influenced by a crap band.
