Fizzle Pop is my new fizzly one-man band. It’s fuzzy, fizzly and fun.
Pop Pop Riot is my real band. It is quirky pop punk. More recordings will be made soon + maybe even live performances.
Feedback always welcome!
Anyways fizzle pop sounds like it’s going to be a great sucess.
very fun.
In General My Top 5T.K Is:
1.Slipping Through
2.Stop It.
3.You Kinda Look Like the Kinda Girl Id Kinda Like to Look Like
4. No Dance Party
5. Phantasmachismo Strikes Back
It’s "A Dictionary of Ancient Superstitions." So named for a book I sat in the library looking at with a girl who later decided she didn’t feel like talking to me anymore, hence the existence of the song. ;(
Myspace doesn’t let you have long titles. I put the full title in the lyrics, though.

What a shitty thing ;(
ok just listened to a bit of your bands:
i’m more into your band "Fizzle Pop" it’s a sound that i can associate with your vocals and it just fits your style of singing very well. i can’t really elaborate on what your style of singing is but to me it feels just right. by the way, i really hope you continue it.
as for "Pop Pop Riot", not so much of a fan. i’m a fan of pop punk but i think your vocals weren’t right for the music and it just didn’t sound too well. i would like to hear a different vocalist for pop pop riot, no offense. but overall i like your style and taste in music and you and your bands have alot of talent. i know my taste in music is not like yours or anyone elses but i know that you’re a pretty good vocalist and guitarist. i also know that i’m not some well informed musician but i know what i like and i like what you play. anyways please continue making more songs and good luck with it as well
Afraid the style is staying. We really like it—we feel it sets the band apart a little. Can’t please everybody though, and there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s actually a more "true" vocal style for me—stuff like Fizzle Pop is me being quiet and smooth intentionally. I have a lot more fun going all out.
I’m glad you liked Fizzle Pop. I will definitely continue it. Right now my bass is being borrowed so there won’t be any new recordings until I get it back, but the song ideas exist. It’s just a matter of when I happen to feel like spending a few hours goofing around with my recording software.
It doesn’t have the same songs though. I’ll upload the Fizzle Pop ones to rapidshare soon if you want.
Ktulu says if he was a wacky music critic man, he would say this song is TK showing maturity in his old age! I thought that was great.
Man, that sorta sums up my thoughts. In the words of Barney, it is super-dee-duper! Seriously, I am totally certain that this is my favourite of any song you’ve written.
Anyway, yeah TK, it’s a really nice song. Yer goin places, kid
For those who don’t know: our drummer, Jon, is leaving for many months soon. We were afraid PPR would go on hold for months (which would suck because we never quite got off the ground in the first place due to crap happening every time we almost made it), but we may have found a solution in my friend Asher. He is capable of drumming, but has never done so in a band before, so he’s got to adjust to it. Tonight was our first (and possibly only) practice as a four-piece and it was fun… we just goofed around a lot. Asher hasn’t decided yet whether he actually wants to devote the time to the band but if he decides to we will have a replacement drummer and when Jon gets back far down the line he will take up lead guitar and we will probably end up redesigning most of the songs at that point.
I really want Asher to decide to stick with the band, because I like his style. He’s awkward about it so far, because he doesn’t know the songs and isn’t used to playing with a full band, but his musical influences are much more like mine than Jon’s are and as such I think his drumming is more suited to my songs (this is a tradeoff; it sounds more natural, but slightly less unique. Personally I am all for both, but the naturalness of it was refreshing). I don’t think it will take him long to adjust and get the hang of the songs though, and I love his style of drumming… it is very straightforward compared to Jon’s quirkiness.
At any rate, here are the pictures we took:
That’s all that can possibly be said
That and I hope things work out with the drum situation
These ones are appropriately fuzzy. I’m really happy with how The Internet Falls Apart And More came out. It is track 1 of the Fizzle Pop full length, which will come out sometime during eternity. Track list thus far:
1. The Internet Falls Apart And More
2. No Dance Party
3. Beat
4. An Encyclopedia of Ancient Superstitions
5. I Spilled You*
6. Stupid Retard Gay Land
7. The Long Haul
I Spilled You is one nobody has heard yet (I haven’t recorded it yet). More are yet to be written. Encyclopedia, No Dance Party, and Long Haul will be rerecorded. Slipping Through will never again see the light of day. Ever.
In other TK music news: The new band is going really well. I should have some demo songs to show you soon, and I think we are almost ready to play shows. We still have not decided on a name yet. Right now I want us to be called Walls but I don’t know if that will happen or what. Other possibilities are Guitar Cable Suicide or A Distant Second.
Pop Pop Riot may be still alive, but with a pretty different lineup. We’ll see what happens there.
Finally, we’ve done an absolutely horrible job of promoting it since it is a joke band, but in case anybody missed it, do check out Domestic Violence. (The most brutal band on the interweb.)
