from the site:
The proverbial sword of Damocles that had been hanging over our heads for some time now has finally fallen: Lemuria is no more. This outcome was decided on Sunday, August 20th 2006 in consultation with the whole band, due to mainly musical differences. The group has been split up into two parties: on the one side Jens and Thierry (the 2 guitarists) and on the other Vincent, Bart, Siegfried and myself (resp. drums, bass, keys and vocals). Both parties are not comtemplating defeat, so expect to hear from us in the (hopefully) not too distant future.
I would like to say, on behalf of Vincent, Bart, Siegfried and myself, that I wish Jens and Thierry all the best and lots of luck in pursuit of their musical carreer.
Lemuria has ceased to exist. This decision is final and neither of the parties will take up that name in the future. The remaining T-shirts and copies of ‘Tales, Ale and Fire’ will be sold and our guestbook and communal contact address ([email protected]) will still be open, so anything that is sent to it will reach every band member. Deathmetal.be has graceously offered to take on the task of selling off our CD’s. This means they are the ONLY distro that is (allowed) to sell our CD’s. We’re still negotiating the T-shirt sales…
This is me, signing off for the last time. On behalf of what was once Lemuria, I would like to thank the fans and other people who helped us out over the 5 (or so) years the band was active. Instead of typing a list of all the individuals, the use of a cliché is easier: You know who you are.
Thanks, goodbye and see you soon!
regards,
Jens,
Vincent,
Bart,
Siegfried,
Thierry
and me

but they are/were one of the cornerstones of the local metalscene
not important to you perhaps, but it has an impact here
That’s a new one to me. Sounds like something I could quite enjoy.

Before you even start talking about my taste of music im only into stuff on the heavier side of music, it goes from nu metal to death metal to grindcore to your mother.
It’s more country music really. Though I haven’t listened to a lot of it, it’s not my sort of thing.
YOU MEAN IT DOESN’T!
OS HIT

lolz u got me there, my mother is obviously on the heavier side of metal
better taste than all that crap smeared on radio and tv all the time
I’m no expert or anything but I think, and this is just what I think, that there is probably a musical middleground between shitty poopy metal and shitty poopy mainstream pop "smeared on radio and tv." I am almost certainly wrong though, so don’t quote me on that!
Oh yeah…Hay, can you rapidshare some of your stuff in MP3? I’m curious to know what your ex-band sounded like.

It’s pretty self explanitary, you can send the link to any one you like as well, though if it isn’t downloaded for 30 days it’ll be deleted off of the servers.
