and furthermore, i hate it.
But Pokemon is super π
Yeah, games with little to no balance, developers who ignore the fan base, bugs up the wazzoo, horrendous endgame, and a largely immature playerbase sure are great.
I was not talking to blake shotgun, as he is totally 100% right.
honestly, the only real complaint I have about WoW is the lack of decent music.
although item binding is a pain, there are reasons for its existance. I’m not crazy about the auction system, but I can live with it.
o hay joey -__—
how? exactly?

levels 1-45 = really fun
levels 45-60 = really painful
level 60+ = Everquest.
I just gave up at level 53 because all I was doing was mundane work for no goal other than the ability to run instances over and over again for nothing but shiny pixels and maybe the ability to wtfpwn in PvP. The only point to PvP is that it’s fun, even Battlegrounds, but unfortuantley it’s so unbalanced it’s not fun. Oh, and you can be rewarded with (for the most part) shitty items from PvP, but that’s nto worth it.
And then to "give us" an end game there going to keep releasing new things without increasing the level cap, which means eventually melee classes will be getting 100+ dps weapons (already can get 80.3), while mage classes are stuck with the same dps from the moment they hit 60, because +damage gear is absolute crap.
It doesn’t appear Kalgan knows what he’s doing whatsoever, as well. There’s no way to know, because there is no dev communication. Mums the word at Blizzard.
Of course, if you’re under 45, then enjoy the game!
Will do!
I’m hoping by the time I hit the higher levels, the endgame stuffs will have sorted themselves out. Given the popularity of the game, and the brilliance of Blizzard, I don’t think i’ve got too much to worry about.
…crap, spam forum… uh…
WTFPWN
you’re on cenarion circle, rite?
Unfortunately, it wasn’t my choice – i’m character sharing with a guy who’s paying the monthly fees – so I let him choose the server with his friends on it ;_;
I’m on Frostwolf.
…what?
Because it’s a really great RPG series.
and honestly, if I play WoW to 45, I won’t be upset over buying the game. that’ll be the most time I’ve put into an mmorpg ever.
Man, we’re talking about WoW, and you’re going on about the PlayStation 3? Get out of my thread.
You can have ten characters per server.
Unlike FFXI you can play on multiple servers
Thus, get your ass on the Circle.
Well, there’s the massive alliance vs horde imbalance. And i’m not talking about just numbers.
Alliance content is much better:
has cooking quests (and ability to buy recipes you didn’t get)… horde has none,
has no back door entrances that lead directly to faction leaders…. horde does, don’t have to venture into a contested zone until 25… horde can do that as well, if they grind instances. Alliance get to do that with questing.
More options for early leveling, and can really get to 30 without venturing into a contested zone (Wetlands and Duskwood pretty much don’t count, as there are zero Horde quests in either area). Horde, on the other hand, can go to Stonetalon Mountains (Alliance level there at the same time), Ashenvale (Alliance level there at the samet ime), Hillsbrad (which is constantly being raided by 60s from both sides, as well as the major imbalance to begin with – it’s a level 20+ zone for Horde, and Alliance don’t go there until 30+), or 1k Needles. Even 1k Needles has some Alliance prescense.
Alliance faction leaders, all of them, are well guarded. Cairne Bloodhoof has two non-pat guards.
Paladins are INCREDIBLEY more useful for raiding (PvE or PvP), than Shamans.
And then you have class imbalances…
Hunter pets being useless, plethora of game-breaking bugs.
Warlocks are nerfed to hell.
Mages do alright, they have their share of problems, but it’s the end game that kills them as they have 0 character advancement (or practically none).
Paladins are crap solo pvpers, have no real role, and are too strong in group pvp.
Warriors are alright at best pre 60, then they have access to Arcanite Reaper and other similarly powerful weapons that lift them to practically overpowered status.
Priests can kill any other class with no worries, except for Shamans, Druids and a well played Warrior, or Undead Rogues.
Rogues can kill anyone with no trouble, except for Warriors, Druids and Shamans. They can kill most Paladins fine, but it’s usuall not worth the time and effort (it’s a tough battle from my understanding).
Druids can beat any class with no difficulties. Their hardest battle is against a Priest or Shaman. Their cat form is all but useless
Rogues completley dominate everything but the other top ones.
Shamans… own everything unless what they’re fighting is really well played.
Basically, you have the weaker classes (Warlock and Hunter) who can only beat average players if expertly played, then the mediocre (Paladin and Mage) who do alright, especially in groups, but for the most part or weak. Then you have Warriors and Priests, able to kill most anything, unless they run into a Shaman, Druid, or Rogue, who can kill anything at mediocre skill, everything without worries at high skill.
Racial bonuses…
None are as good as the Undead set. Taurens have Warstomp and the +5% hp, the other two are crap. All four of the Troll racials are crap. The Orcs stun resist is good, the others are pretty much crap. Night Elves have it almost as good as Undead, Human and Gnome and Dwarf sets are all pretty much crap.
Then there’s pve issues, like how Shamans can heal nearly as well as Priests can, depending on talents Or that there is no reason that anyone would want a Warlock in their group besides the one that allows them to teleport their allies. Warriors are the only capable tanks, while Druids come close. Rogues are almost useless, except for boss fights (at least, in MC).
That’s just a few off the top of my head >.o.
There’s also how heavy handed the developers are, like how Priests were running Princess with Soothe Mind (or whatever it’s called), so instead of, say, moving the giants on the pathway to her a little closer together, they stealth nerfed that ability to pretty much uselessness. And, of course, Druids and Rogues can still run Princess all they want.

Done and done – Kaerne, Tauren Druid.
you’re supposed to be alliance !
you’re supposed to be alliance !
Not according to Merl, iirc
If you wanna play Horde with me, go to Zul`Jin.
I just converted to Horde since Mandi doesn’t play much and some friends and I are Horde at heart.
I went Tauren Hunter but I might convert to Tauren Shaman, I love both classes, but Hunter is where my heart is.
Sorry ’bout confusion.
Circle look me up as Crispian.
Zul`Jin well, I’m still Crispian.
To much locked up in that name for me to leave it behind ~_^
Oh well. I’ve been wanting to start a Night Elf Rogue for a while – character number 3!
Having some severeeee graphix problems. Take a look here:
http://cassie.zarkhalar.net/images/WoW/
I’ve updated all the drivers and putzed around with all the settings, and nothing seems to affect it at all. frustrating ;(
So much more fun than my Undead Warlock so far.
I got a lvl 58 ork warrior on dunemaul- about to get lvl 59 in about 15 more mins. Been playing game for over 400 hours with JUST my ork. with all my alternate characters god knows how long.
Its me!!! (

And me again! (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y71/Deton8/ME.bmp)
AND my favoute (screene done by my guildmate brynolf when as my keyboard was messed at the time) ()
Also this game is a lot of fun. I’m level 10 at the moment, and its gr8.
I still say anyone who says that should be banned.
I challenge you to find a game with better design, overall content and structuring!
Half life 2.
Pokemon is not all that tight.
I would agree with you, but World of Warcraft has one giant thing over Half-Life 2 – it doesn’t end.
I’m really sick of games finishing. Jade Empire was fantastic, but 10 hours of play time is ridiculous.
I’m really sick of games finishing. Jade Empire was fantastic, but 10 hours of play time is ridiculous.
While I think they are both great games WoW does end really once you hit level 60, unless you are into PvP but then if you are into modding and the like then HL2 doesnt end either.
For me the fun started at level 60, trying to get a higher PvP ranking, doing Molten Core runs, increasing rep with different factions to unlock rewards, Onyxia runs, Azuregos runs, Lord Kazzak runs, soon Blackwing Lair.
Not to mention the level cap might be raised one day, and the hero classes that are still in development. That’s the difference between a MMORPG and a "static" game. A normal RPG ends, and it’s over. WoW is still growing, the world is expanded with each content patch. There’s alot of unfinished zones that I can’t wait for to visit.

You need to play more games. Many more games. God.
Aren’t "runs" just something that we all just left behind in the days of Diablo, where grinding exp and finding rare loot was a thing of the past in MMORPGs?
Wow, thank you for showing me an endgame that will only last 2 months.
They banned you because you wandered into an area that was easily accessible? That seems unlikely.
Also, during a recent bug that was all kinds of awesome, I actually got the chance to control a bat! Just for a laugh, I decided to fly it underwater –
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v479/raidenex/underwaterbat.gif
But MMORPG’s bore the shit out of me, so I’ll wait to see if some of you can confirm this.
But MMORPs are okay with me, i play World of Warcraft and i like it, there are cool people there, and i like to hang out with my buddies from the neighborhood who also play the game (i mean hang out with them in-game, but of course out-game as well)
Well, anyway, all is okay with me, i have no preferences lol π
Haha – the bugs are nothing, considering they’re successfully networking 3.5 million people. Windows XP has more bugs.

That was a different game – Lineage 2.
In WoW the worst that is going to happen is "OMFG NINJA GTFO".
In WoW the worst that is going to happen is "OMFG NINJA GTFO".
Happened alot, I know a couple of hunters who believe everything belongs to them aslong they can equip it, and a warrior who thinks he can get everything because he can make money of it. They are never taken out in parties anymore though. >:]
Because the whole PA vs PvP thing is happening there.
Actaully even if you got in, take this for example. How about sharing 20 mobs with 5000 people! in Shadowglen on Teldrassil? That just doesn’t work. =p
43 hunter (me)
42 priest
51 warrior
44 warlock
42 warrior
i didn’t get either of the two drops i wanted π
the Pokemon Gambeoy games are great becuase they are almost exact rips of
FF8 with no storyline.
Instead of GF you have Pocket monsters.

Hmm.
Pokemon came out first.
Does that mean that Final Fantasy VIII is a rip of Pokemon?

Does that mean that Final Fantasy VIII is a rip of Pokemon?
You take that back right now. Haha, theres no way thats true, since it probably took all of 3 hours to make pokemon for GB and 2 years to make FF8 for Sony.
I GUESS SQUARE REALLY DID RIP IT OFF.
wow… talk about a.d.d.
I just put WoW on break for the begining of the semester, might bring it back later if my grades stay up.
Yorach – 54 Troll Shaman on Burning Legion… retired =(
Walin – 32 Human Mage on Gurubashi… retired
A-fucking-men
Off to grind arcane crystals again.
When i needed them to sell for my epic mount they fell like rain. Recently i got an idea, "lets get an Arcanite Reaper!"
………Almost 200 thorium ore now and still not a single arcane crystal. :/
oh and, BEST GAME EVER.
I swear I was just talking about this with someone.
I don’t remember who, though.
But yeah. It’d be pretty fun.
I can’t believe your guild even attempted MC with a level 54, and only a 20-man raid in the first place. It’s a full 40-man raid area, for crying out loud.
Now the older guild is a farm, they wait till our other players are level 60 and then they take them into the new guild.
The whole idea is that the 60’s help the not-60s level faster, so they can do the raid instances faster.
If you were on Frostwolf, i’d invite you to join the Crimson Wraiths. There’s only about 80 or so of us, but at least we all know each other, and help each other out.
I don’t mind going on guild only runs, but a level 55+ ONLY guild is too elitst for my likings. =\
How ever I’ve abandoned WoW, simply because I was bored with it and not nearly playing as much as I used to.
How the hell did you get that much cash?
Seriously, that’s nuts! I’ve only got about 80g.
Seriously, that’s nuts! I’ve only got about 80g.
Quite easy, well before 1.7 it wasn’t that hard, you can still farm various places and sometimes a little luck always helps. I once found a Krol Blade which I sold for 600g and I found our server’s first Mooncloth Bag Pattern which went for 150g, that’s 50g short of an epic mount given that you have atleast honored with your faction and honor rank 3 for the 10% discounts.
Seriously, that’s nuts! I’ve only got about 80g.
Not blowing my cash on a profession, pretty much. Getting lucky with an epic robe drop in southern Un’goro helped too. I traded it for a Freezing band, Eye of Flame, and a Devout belt. Sold the first two for a combined 450g. Disenchanting helped a lot too… I picked up enchanting too late, so I had an abundance of "higher" enchanting materials, but a lacking enchanting level to use them, so I just sold them instead of letting them take up space. I’m guessing I’ve made 150-200g just from enchanting materials alone.
Transfering 200g from my hunter helped, but I probably would have made 900g at 60 anyway. Currently at nearly 1100g at level 57.
At 60, I may try and level herbalism/alchemy, because I’m not liking the 12g per stack of major mana potions.
The only thing I could make money out of were transmutations (Arcanite) though firstly and mostly were for my guildmates (and every guild has atleast one smith who needs a certain amount of Arcanite bars).
Seriously, that’s nuts! I’ve only got about 80g.
Ok this is simple Really. And flawed. If you was lucky enough to choose mining back when u was a n00b and now have 300/300 mining there are these little lovely things called. [Arcane Crystal]
Yes and they drop so damn often. About 1 every hour if you dedicate yourself to running around the ghost lake in winterspring ( About 5 Rich thorium ore spawn points there)
Bingo thats 22G. Get a transmute costing you 4G you now have [Arcanite Bar] which sells for 30G. I could my my epic mount twice over now.
IF you dont have mineing then imho you are totally screwed. Grinding and praying for blue, purple world drops is stupid. You have to be so goddamn lucky.
Better still buy a arcane crystal for 20-22G then find transmuter costing you 4G (3G if u are lucky) Then sell [Arcanite Bar]for 30G. you make SO MUCH MONEY.
<3 EU Dunemaul server n00bs
<3 EU Dunemaul server n00bs
Uh… so much money?
7g a bar at most, 4g a bar at worst according to you. Including the time it takes to find the Transmuter, that really isn’t cost effective.
Epic mounts are fun, and so is being a healbot. UBRS is fun.
